Teachers at The Beehive
Rita Miller is a wife, mother and grandmother. She is very involved with her family and church. She has been a teacher in the Highline School district for 16 years. She has worked in special education during her time with Highline. She was a stay at home mom for 14 years, attending a cooperative preschool with her children when they were young. She attended the preschool as a parent teacher for 7.5 years. Rita is a Sign Language Interpreter, with an AAS degree in Interpreting from Seattle Central University. She has Bachelor degrees in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Central Washington University. She has a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Phoenix. She has a special education endorsement though Seattle Pacific University. She is looking forward to working with children at The Beehive Preschool.
We are fortunate to have two certificated substitutes in case of teacher absence.
Deborah Frank is a substitute teacher in the Highline School District. Debbie enjoys working with preschool students. She often works long term assignments in preschool classrooms at various schools in the district. She is looking forward to getting to know your students.
Sally Gillard has just retired from the Highline School District. When asked if she would be willing to be a substitute for our preschool, she said “Please and thank you for thinking of me.” Sally has worked many years in K-6th grade classrooms and with the Community Based Service Program for students with disabilities ages 18-21.
We are so fortunate to have a staff of experienced teachers at The Beehive, and know they will be a huge blessing to your child.
